Crash Hot Potatoes - First boil, then lightly smash, drizzle with Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Salt, and Pepper, and bake till slightly crispy. So simple. (via)

Not only is Suitep one of my favorite Tumblrs, but I am so making this tonight because of her. So, cheers to you, lovely lady!

That’s really sweet. Thank you! I have one piece of advice. Don’t smash them too much. I made these last weekend and they ended up basically being hashbrowns. Delicious! But too smashed. My first poached egg turned out perfectly though, so at least there’s that I guess. ;)

This might have to be added to the chicken rotation. Grilled pomegranate glazed chicken, made with pomegranate molasses.
From the recipe in the Seattle Times:
A Middle Eastern staple, it is made from pomegranate juice simmered until nearly as thick and dark as espresso, but with even more punch. Both pickle-sour and syrupy sweet, it’s as pungent as chile paste but with the vivid bristle of tart red fruit instead of capsicum heat.

Pie Crust (Pâte Sucrée)

A buttery and rich pie crust perfect for all pies and tarts. I definitely prefer it to store bought. Usually the procedure would be complicated and inform you to keep everything cold. I took this recipe and made it the traditional way and my way. No one could tell the difference.

Bodega Soup

Bodega Soup can be almost anything you want it to be. The word “bodega” loosely translates to pantry and that’s exactly where you should find all of these ingredients. Even if you want to go out and buy them it shouldn’t cost more than $6 dollars. This is a soup for a cold day, a broke day, or day when your spirits are running low. I hope you enjoy my latest creation.
